Q3. Do I have to pay Brokers commission?
A. No, the brokers commission is paid by the seller of the Gulet. (back)

Q4. Is it easy to change the flag of a Gulet?
A. Yes, the formalities take just a few days and are completed in Izmir, a city about 250 Kms north of Bodrum. (back)

Q5. Can I take a Gulet to another country?
A. Yes, there are no restrictions regarding the export of a Gulet by a foreign owner. The process of re-flagging the vessel to the country of you choice will deal with any formalities or requirements. (back)

Q6. As a foreigner in Turkey can I operate a charter business in Turkey?
A. Yes, once the Gulet is re-flagged your business comes under the jurisdiction of that country. You are able to operate a charter business from any of the international marinas in Turkey. (back)

Q7. Can a foreigner own a Turkish Flagged Gulet?
A. No, during the purchase process the Gulet must be re-flagged to a country of your choice. the only exception is if a foreigner sets up a Turkish company, in which case the company becomes the owner of the vessel. (back)

Q8. Are Gulets suitable for ocean cruising?
A. Many Gulets are specifically designed for charter services within the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas, such vessels may not be suitable for ocean cruising. However, some Gulets are designed and built for ocean cruising, however the advice of a qualified Marine Surveyor should be sought before purchasing a Gulet for ocean cruising. (back)

Q2. How many flights per day from Istanbul to Bodrum?
A. During the winter period there is just one flight per day except on Friday and Sunday when there are 3 flights. During the summer there are 4 flights per day. (back)

Q3. Are there coach services between Istanbul and Bodrum?
A. Yes there are several luxury coach services that operate a daily overnight service. Reservations can be made with our parent company Aegean Tour Travel. (back)

Q4. Is it feasible to rent a car in Istanbul and drive to Bodrum?
A. Not really, unless there is anything you particularly want to see en-route to Bodrum it is more practical and economical to use public transport. Our parent company can arrange car rental in Bodrum. (back)

Q5. Is it easy to obtain accommodation in Bodrum during the winter season?
A. Yes, Bodrum is quite busy during the low season period and many hotels are open year round. (back)
